As I came into this world So too shall I pass Alone and trembling as the curtains close For this sacred final act From the womb I was birthed And to the tomb I return A single point in time and space As the flesh that I claim turns to ashes From the dirt floors of caves we have crawled Into the light of the new age of man With hope alone we built our walls To shield ourselves from the counting of sands No one here survives this Try as you might but you won’t make it out alive Cause no one here survives this There’s no applause at all after act five Just eyes now sewn shut beneath the lid of a casket Time slips by without a word of warning as we’re left grasping At severed straws Interpreting the shadows on the walls We’re carried on By the tune of the crow and its ancient cause It caws! So it’s said there’s gotta be something Cause what’s the point if there really ain’t nothing at all But we know the end is coming When it does you'd better be ready to... Fall to pieces as we slowly fall apart And we stall for meaning behind a barely beating heart When we fall to pieces we will be slowly picked apart And our calls now fleeting become the cry of dying stars (above) As in the sky, like a mirror above us So too it is in the coffins beneath our feet

Memento Mori 05:16
The rising sun is only temporary It’s bound by it’s course towards a fast death The waking dead, all the ones that we buried Rising up again from their last breath Oh! And it’s times like these Where we can’t find peace Just a slow decent With no calvary This is armageddon These are the end of days (3x) There she stands, our guiding light Against the pitch black sea of night Such a shame but what a sight To hold her name on high I’ll give my life to you If you would just have me but... These, these hands, can’t change a thing Despite the curse they’ve wrought These, these hands, won’t change a thing In light of all that’s lost We can’t save ourselves And we can’t save anyone else So this will not end well It was done from the day we fell If we can’t save ourselves How can we save anyone else? If this does not end well Would we even be able to tell? We’ve been forgotten, forsaken (4x) And it’s times like these Where we can’t find peace Just a slow decent With no calvary But we’ll stand our fucking ground Against all the odds convinced That we’re not breaking so we push on Untill our aching lungs do steal their final breath With every season in passing (We will pass as well) We part like leaves from branches (Shorn clean from the bough) With every question worth asking (We feel our insides swell) We’re met with closing caskets (As silence replaced the howls) And we know this won’t last, we’re only temporary (temporary) With every season in passing (We will pass as well) We part like leaves from branches (Shorn clean from the bough) And we know this won’t last, we’re only temporary, temporary We know this won’t last, we’re only temporary, temporary We know this won’t last at all

How does this end? By sword or swallowed by the earth? When will we bend Our wills to match the coming curse By the light Of that gate That keeps calling Closer and closer to death and devotion How does it feel? To know the end is drawing nigh How can we heal? The earth or should we even try Dare we fein self-deny When it’s already over Closer and closer to death and devotion Our offering’s the body and blood of the wretched and torn I hear her voice softly say Thy strength indeed is small Child of weakness, lie in wait Find in me strength to move on! Through your days Till the end When you’re called To come home and ascend Have faith in the process The devil’s in the context Still waiting for that reset? Watch and keep waiting And keep wishing on that star Of mourning and of breaking In the evening from afar How does this end? By sword or swallowed by the earth? When will we bend Our wills to match the coming curse How does it feel? To know the end is drawing nigh How can we heal? The earth or should we even try Dare we fein Self-rely When it’s already over Closer and closer to death and devotion Our offering's the body and blood that we’ve shed in your name Here comes the flood Here comes the fire Here comes the end Thrown on the pyre Here comes the plague Here comes the promise Count down the days Trusting the process IS THIS WHAT WHAT YOU WERE WANTING? IS THIS WHAT WHAT YOU WERE ASKING FOR

Cosmic bodies Lie dormant on high Statues rotting Forgotten to time Burning temples Replaced by fascades Scriptures haunting The truth in the lie (In the lie) Sifting through the ruins for some sort of clue To find for myself some semblance of truth But overhead a burning and underfoot a flood Our creation myth undone. We, we are the haunters in the dark An unwanted legacy Just an accidental drop into the primal sea Now disturbing the dreams Of some ancient god Who was once asleep, now thirsty for blood And now our tragic ending We do humbly invoke By fear of our failure Stones still left unturned cannot be thrown And so we take what we want In this garden's decay And we will eat from the fruit And proudly bare the burdens of our fate Cosmic bodies Now raging on high Statues rotting Rebuilt in new times Burning temples Encased in fascades Scriptures haunted By truth in their lies (In their lies) And all our lives will fade They’ll slowly fade away They’ll wax and they’ll wane Towards a sure and certain grave Our lives will fade They’ll surely fade away As they wax and wane Toward their new celestial grave This life’s the one where I’ll find it And take it with me on the day I die This life’s the one where I’ll find it And leave this curse behind (I hope) At least that’s what I hope But nothing’s guaranteed For me If this is what you want then I can always set you free Cosmic bodies Lie dormant on high Statues rotting Forgotten to time

Smoke clouds fill the lungs of the young And these forest fires burn brighter than the stars above us do It’s hard to trust the hearts of men It’s not their fault but something bigger than them But now the maps we make And the roads we pave All lead straight into the cities And straight down to our graves But now the constellations over head, they call my name And they offer me closure I know the way Your secrets are safe inside my coffin And I feel the same It’s hard to breathe in at all when the air’s all gone And you can’t help yourself from caughing And your eyes roll back and the sun goes down And every shadow in the crowd bows out as well I clung to you… Cause there was nothing left for me to hold on to So we cried wolf and the wolves cried back So we cried wolf and the wolves cried back So we cried wolf and the song of the wolves cried on But the howlings of those around us went unheard All the weight was placed upon the backs of those who fell To steer a sinking ship, but still that ship it would not sail So in their desperation, realizing this was hell They set their course to land and carved a brand new trail Towards Answers In their time Of needing us as well To get what they deserve! (THEY DESERVE) It’s hard to trust the hearts of men It’s not their fault but something bigger than them The maps we make And the roads we pave They all lead straight into the grave The ones that we’ve made With hopes to be saved Calling you by name but aren’t we betrayed? And left with all the blame Isn’t it a fucking shame that we’re stuck with the gods we don’t trust In a world that never caves In our wake For heavens sake Why do we fake as if we ever really had a fucking say Anyways I’ve sat for Days With a promise of forgiveness For all the penance that I've paid! So we cried wolf and the wolves cried back So we cried wolf and the wolves cried back So we cried wolf and the wolves cried back… FOR US!
